Is EzeAla free for tradespeople to join?
Yes — joining the network is completely free. There is no subscription, no monthly fee, and no lead-purchase fees. EzeAla only earns when you do: a flat 10% commission on completed jobs. The first 100 founding members pay 0% on their first 5 jobs and 8% permanently after that.
Do I need a Gas Safe / NICEIC / NAPIT / ELECSA certification to apply?
You need the certification that matches the trade you want to accept. Gas engineers must hold a current Gas Safe registration; electricians need NICEIC, NAPIT or ELECSA. General trades like handypeople, painters and decorators do not need a trade register — public liability insurance is the only mandatory document for those trades.
How long does the application take?
About 3 minutes in the chat. Right after you're in, you add three documents — public liability insurance, your trade card and a photo ID — about 2 minutes.
When do I get paid?
Customer payments are held in Stripe escrow the moment your quote is accepted. Funds are released to your Stripe Connect account 48 hours after the landlord signs off the completed job. No invoice chasing, no overdue ledger.
How is EzeAla different from other trade platforms?
Other platforms charge subscriptions or sell each lead to up to five tradespeople. EzeAla charges only when a job is paid. Every job is pre-qualified by Ezra: the landlord, the property and the budget are verified before you see the request. You are never one of five trades competing on the same lead.
Can I leave EzeAla and take my reviews with me?
Yes. Every review is tied to a completed, paid, signed-off job and is exportable as cryptographically signed JSON-LD. Import it to any platform that respects the schema. Your reputation is never platform-locked.
