**How the payment works**

EzeAla uses Stripe escrow. When you accept a quote, the payment is held securely. It's only released to the plumber 48 hours after you sign off the job as complete. No upfront cash. No chasing invoices. If the job isn't done right, you don't pay.

**What we verify for plumbers**

Every plumber on EzeAla goes through a verification process that includes identity check, WaterSafe or CIPHE registration check, public liability insurance verification (minimum £2 million), and a review of their job history. Gas engineers are additionally checked against the Gas Safe Register. Most verifications complete within 24 hours.

**Plumbing emergencies**

For burst pipes, major leaks, or boiler failures in cold weather, EzeAla's emergency dispatch sends the job simultaneously to all available plumbers in your area. You're typically connected to a plumber within 15–30 minutes.

If you smell gas, do not contact EzeAla — call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 immediately and leave the building.
